We are a small group of individuals ranging in age from our early 20’s to our mid 50‘s. We are students, educators, writers, filmmakers, yoga teachers, artists, and farmers speckled throughout the U.S., from southern California to Upstate New York. We are vegetarians, vegans and even a life-long vegetarian. We all share a deep commitment to end factory farming for the welfare of animals, the environment, and human health. We look forward to celebrating the end of factory farming within two years and hope you will help in making this a reality! We are uniting our inspiration, resources, and vision and we greatly welcome your participation.
The seeds for a meat free month were planted over three decades ago. When Naomi Call, visionary of the organization, was in college, she was invited to live dairy free for 30 days. Here’s how she describes the experience. “I was already vegetarian, although every meal I ate was primarily dairy and carbs. Not eating dairy felt like a huge challenge. I didn't expect to feel any different and I was shocked by the results! Living dairy free brought me greater energy, clarity, and health. Those 30 days changed my life. I’ve continued sharing and evolving conscious living tools while successfully supporting thousands of people in embracing greater health by asking them to take on making changes for 30 days.”
Countless people have created life long changes from being meat free for one month. We invite you to be next!
Nothing will benefit human health and increase the chances for survival
of life on earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet.

We deeply appreciate the efforts of all of the individuals who are helping us launch our vision to step up efforts to end the horror that results when sentient creatures are turned into industrial commodities. And, the sister organizations that are also working to end factory farming: Meatless Mondays, Farm Sanctuary, PETA, The Humane Society,Animals Australia and PCRM are a few who have made great strides in raising awareness.
It will take the unity of all of our voices—as individuals and organizations—to end factory farming.
We also extend our appreciation for everyone who has taken a pledge ~ you are our inspiration!
Best wishes for a joyful, healthy, and sustainable future for all.
With deepest gratitude from our core team,
Our task must be to free ourselves… by widening our circle of compassion
to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty.
